The story
CR7 began with a simple conviction: that photography and retouching are not two separate disciplines, but a single continuum of craft. The best images aren't made in a camera alone — they're finished in the edit, where mood, colour, and intention come together.
The studio's focus on portraiture, event work, and lifestyle photography grew from a belief that the camera should capture authenticity, and the edit should amplify it. Not to invent something that wasn't there, but to clarify vision and intention through colour, light, and careful attention to detail.

Approach & philosophy
The work balances clarity with mood. Every image is treated as both a literal record and an emotional statement — colour is purposeful, not accidental. Retouching is invisible when it needs to be and declarative when the image calls for it.
There's a discipline to this: consistent lighting choices across a set, a coherent colour language that serves the story rather than the editor's taste, and a respect for the original capture that doesn't mistake restraint for laziness.
Whether it's a corporate portrait, an event covered across an evening, or a lifestyle series, the approach stays constant. The photograph comes first. The edit is there to say what the photograph means.
Craft & tools
Retouching at this level covers colour grading across full sets, detailed skin retouching that preserves texture and character, composite work that seamlessly integrates multiple exposures or elements, and the subtle corrections that keep an image feeling natural while looking intentional.
The toolkit includes everything from foundational colour science and curve work to advanced masking, frequency separation, and custom adjustments. More importantly, each tool serves a purpose — the choice of technique matters less than the clarity of intent.
